The Clean Sanctuary Campaign needs as many volunteers as possible.The debris is unsuitable for the reserve because it clogs beaches,settles to the benthic (river bottom) environment, and causesunhealthy food foraging among shorebirds.
This is an educational cruise that will be narrated by Jack Putman, an employee of the South Street Seaport Museum. The cruise will ride on both the Hudson and East River.
